Hi, I’m Devan and I love the people I get to connect with through photography. Here’s a little bit about me to start us off!

A little bit about me!

My first camera

I got my first camera at 13-years-old and never stopped gaining interest in photography. I didn’t think I would turn it into a profession, however I quickly realized how much I love capturing special moments for others. I am driven by the impact a single photo can mean to my clients!

I grew up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and then lived on the Central Coast of California; from snow to the beach, I love being in nature to ground myself. I will always prefer to photograph my clients in nature for its ability to reflect your beauty, too.

BA in Business - Marketing

As part of the COVID Class of 2020, I graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. This degree has especially helped me in launching my photography business and marketing myself and my work to the right group - aka, you!

Studied abroad in Thailand

I sent myself across the world to study in Thailand for a semester. I took courses in Buddhism, Thai Language, Thai Arts, Rights & Activism in SE Asia, but learned the most outside of the classroom. While abroad, I went on my first true solo-trip to Vietnam for 10 days. I. Can’t. Wait. To. Go. Back.

Living in Orange County

Post-college, I moved to Orange County to pursue my marketing career. I loved the creativity and analytical aspect, but it quickly became my goal to go full time with my photography. Summer 2025 was when my dream came true!

My wedding day

My husband and I met in high school and started dating in college. We got married in October of 2025 and it was the PERFECT day! I now understand why people say “my wedding was the best day of my life.” It helped me learn a lot about the important qualities of a wedding vendor and how I can support my couples’ through that!

This is my sweet cuddle buddy, Sage! I’ve had her since she was about 8 months old. At the golden age of 12, she loves supervised outdoor time and her ration of scrambled eggs or chicken. I love having a cat for her independence, but I love dogs for their companionship!
